Our pledge: 30% of profits to people in need

A promise we made at the start, and how we plan to keep it in the open.

The commitment

TapOkay has committed to giving 30% of its profits to people in need. We made this pledge because the app exists for people who might otherwise be overlooked, and we want the business behind it to look outward too.

Where we are today

We want to be straight with you. TapOkay is a young, independent app, built by a small team. The core app is free, and income from the optional Pro plan goes first to the costs of running the service. Today that means there are not yet profits to give.

So this page does not list donations, amounts or partner charities yet. We would rather show you nothing than show you something that is not real.

How we will report

  • Once TapOkay makes a profit, 30% of it goes to helping people in need.
  • We will publish on this page where donations went and how much, once there is something to report.
  • We expect to favor causes close to what TapOkay does: older adults, people living alone, and caregivers.

Questions or suggestions

If you know an organization doing good work for people living alone or for caregivers, we would love to hear about it. Email [email protected]. You can also read why we built TapOkay.
